Review: L'Oreal Mega Volume Collagene 24hr Mascara

Heey guys, soo I recently went to my local drugstore and bought some interesting new stuff. I just love going to drugstores...I sometimes find them much more interesting to ''explore'' than the high-end product shops. From all of the stuff I bought,I wanted to do a review on one particular product that I fell in love with right after the first use. I'm talking about the L'Oreal Mega Volume Collagene 24hr Mascara. So without further ado, let's hop right into the review :)

**Disclaimer: This product was bought with my own money, and all opinions are miiiiiiiiiine :)

Review: L'Oreal Mega Volume Collagene 24hr Mascara

-First thing that I like about this mascara is the packaging. It's in this very expensive-looking black shiny ''tube'' which,in my opinion is very classy and fancy for a drugstore mascara.

-It is in the color ''Extra Black'',which is the color of mascara that I always buy. (I'm not quite sure are there any other colors except this one)

-The bristles of the brush are in a curvy shape and are not plastic (which I like). The brush itself is nice, not too long and not too short which allows you to really coat each lash individually, without worrying about messing your eye makeup :)

-Now,it says that it's supposed to last for 24 hours, but honestly,I don't know much about that because I never wear my mascara that long. I've worn it for max 6 or 7 hours and it held very nicely...It didn't smudge at all,it stayed in place and looked like I just applied it on my lashes.

-The formulation of it is somewhere in between wet and dry...Even though I like when my mascara is on the wet side,I don't quite like it to smudge right after I apply it (because I have fairly long lashes) In my opinion, this is one of those mascaras that get even better with the time.

-Now,let's talk about the price of the product. We all know that L'Oreal is not cheap even though it's sold in drugstores, but the quality is what matters, right? ;) ( Price: £9.99 )

  • My final opinion on this mascara is that I really, really like it,and it's now one of my favorite drugstore mascaras that I've tried.
  • Will I re-purchase it again? I will! definitely! :) :)

What about you guys? Have you tried it? What are your viws on this mascara? Let me know in the comments, and tell me if you like those reviews :) Should I make more of them? What products would you like me to do a review on? I will definitely recommand more :)

Love,Bella

June Favorites 2013

Helloooo guys,so I didn't have much time for my blog recently because I was on my vacation, but now I am finally home, and I have a lot of new (interesting) blog posts planned for you all ;)
Soo without further ado, let's start with my June 2013 favorites :)

**Disclaimer:
Everything that's described and showed in this blog post is bought with my own money and all opinions are miiiineee :) :)

June Favorites 2013

 1. Nivea Sun Protect and Bronze (sunscreen) ,SPF 20

-Well,we all know how important it is to protect our skin from harmful sun rays especially in the summer time, that's why we are buying different kinds of sunscreen which can protect us from sunburns (which we do not want!)
-I recently bought a new sunscreen which, beside the fact that it can save me from nasty sunburns,it can make me a bit tanner *yeey* :) The Nivea Sun Protect and Bronze spray combines protection with natural looking tan (not containing any self-tan) It contains a natural plant extract which helps support skin's own melanin production. Absolutely in looove with the product and I've already noticed the difference :)

2.Elizabeth Arden-Visible Difference,Optimizing Skin Serum

-I finally got my hands on this Skin Serum which I wanted for a really, reaaally long time now...I've tried a sample of it and fell in love with it. When I tried it for the first time,my skin was breaking out and I had some dry patches...I tried with other creams, facial oils, but I couldn't heal it,but when I put this,it felt heavenly. It glides on very smoothly and it's perfect as a makeup base or a primer. If you want,I can make a review on it and give you more details about it.

3.Evian Facial Spray

-Evian Facial Spray is perfect for this time of the year when you'll be sweating a lot and spending more time in the sun. You can use it as a refreshener,a makeup setting spray or a toner . You can also apply it before you put your makeup on,so it can last you all day long ;)

 4.Nivea Visage Peeling Wipes

-One of the best cleansing/makeup removing wipes I've tried. They are 3-In-1 daily peeling wipes that help you keep your skin nice and fresh without clogged pores. They have magnolia extract which helps you  prevent impurities without irritating the skin. Great for all skin types.

5.Maybeline Dream Fresh BB Cream (color: Light)

-Absolutely loving this cream,it's great for all skin types and you will love it if you don't need much coverage. I like how it gives a fresh, glowy looking skin without powdery finish or looking like you have  tons of makeup on. It's perfect if you are spending time on the beach or by the pool and you just need something that will even out you skin tone and protect your skin form sun.I will be doing a full review on it,so I will give you more information about it soon :)

6.Maybeline Color Tattoo 24 hour (color: 35-On and on Bronze)

-I'm all about gel eye-shadows for the summer,I think they are great because they stay all day, even if you are in the pool/sea swimming and sweating all day. Another cool thing about cream/gel eye shadows is that little goes all the way,and the Maybeline ones are extremely pigmented,so they can last you for a quite a long time ;) If you want them to stay all day,try setting them with a translucent powder or the regular eye-shadow in the similar color. ;)

7.Artdeco Baked Eyeshadow (color: 0950)

-I loooove this eye-shadow,It's amaziing, the color pigmentation is great, you can make it more subtle for a daytime or you can glam it up for the night time ;) I don't have enough words to describe it,so I will show you the picture of it and how it looks on the skin :) (and I literally just dab the tiniest amount of eye-shadow and this is how it looks like)

8.Maybeline The Colossal Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara

-Waterproof Mascara is a MUST for Summer. I tried a lot of them, but this one so far is the best. I love the colossal brush,It gives you a lot of volume but it won't clump up your lashes. It also contains Collagen enriched formula. And the most important thing is that It won't come off for anything! Anything! Feel free to wear it while swimming :)

9.Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush (color: 18-Soft Cardinal)

-Again,one of the items that is great and is very affordable. Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush is very nice,it has a nice finish as well as the consistency. I apply it right after my foundation/BB/CC Cream just on the highest point of my cheek bones, blend it out with my fingers or foundation brush and it gives me a nice subtle blush. Be sure to bled it in very quickly because it does settle.

10.Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer (color: 101 Celestial)

-I heard so many people rave about this product on Blogger,YouTube, etc so I decided to get it and it has been my favorite for quite long time. It can be described as a lipstick, lip stain and lip gloss all in one tube! It stays all day and It won't dry out your lips. I love the packaging,It looks very chick and modern and I also love the brush which is shaped perfectly. But I will say that you must put this on with a mirror or you will end up looking like a clown (that happened to me actually :DD)

11.Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea Fine Fragrance

-Love this fragrance,It's a great Summer, fruity floral scent which happens to be the award winning fragrance. I got It as a gift for my birthday as well as shower gel (which is amazing) and lotion (which is also amazing, especially under the fragrance)

12.Book Favorite of the Month: ''The Book of Tomorrow'' by Cecilia Ahern

-It's for all of you dreamy-dreamers out there....It's an amazing book, definitely recommend it :) Read it and you'll love it. I promise :)

13.Food/Snack/Drink of the Month: Arizona Tea

-If you want something healthy while still tasting delicious, try Arizona Tea if you haven't already and you'll love it :) My favorite is the Original one with honey (Basically green tea with honey) and the Blueberry and Pear one. Pop it into your fridge for a couple of minutes and there you go,healthy and yummy drink for summertime :)

14.Songs of the Month:

-Austin Mahone ''What About Love''
-Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ''Can't Hold Us''
-Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran ''Everything Has Changed''
-Selena Gomez ''Slow Down''
-The Script ''If You Could See Me Now''

With love,
Bella

How to: Get rid of Blemishes and Acne

Heey guys,so this is my first blog post on Blogger and I have a lot of interesting tips and tricks related to fashion, makeup, skincare, home decorating, etc. I will be posting a new blog post every other day in the week.
As you can already see from the title of the today's blog post,I will be writing and advising you about the biggest issue that most of the teens (and the adults ! ) are struggling with.
First, you have to know that having acne and blemishes is totally normal and that it will ''go away'' as the time passes....I know that it may be hard to accept this fact and it may seem like the eternity, but try to be positive about it. Don't let the acne and blemishes rule your life, believe me, it's really not worth it.
I also struggled with blemishes in the past and I know how hard it can be to accept the fact that your skin is not so clean and perfect anymore.

There are few things that I have to mention first before I show you the tips&tricks on how to heal and get rid of your blemishes and scars once and for all :)

1. Accept the fact
-As I already said, try to accept the fact that it's completely normal to have acne and blemishes, and that they will go away as the time passes,so try your best to be patient and positive about the whole situation

2.Skincare routine
-Now,this step is very important if you want to heal your skin. I will try to help you with this, but you can also try to make your own skincare routine.I will advise you about this later in the post.

3.SPF
-We all know how harmful the sun can be to our very sensitive skin,so we have to put a good layer of sunscreen (it's good to put it under your makeup also!). Though the sunscreens have very good properties for our skin, sometimes it can break it out...so try finding the one that suits you best,or buy a foundation,CC cream,BB cream that already has some kind of SPF in it.
I tried a lot of them and the best drugstore ones are Max Factor CC Cream,L'Oreal BB Cream and Garnier BB Cream. They all have a very nice coverage and many good properties for the skin.

4.Always remove your makeup before you go to bed!
-This part is essential, because we want our skin to breathe during the night and that's not possible if we have that layer of makeup on which can additionally cause more acne, clogged pores and wrinkles.

5.Go natural!
-I looove natural products and natural ingredients. You probably already know that our skin loves all the ingredients from the Mother Nature, which are usually not very expensive and can be found in every local market and in any kitchen :)

Tips&Tricks on How to: Get rid of Blemishes and Acne

1.Lemon,Honey and Olive Oil Face Mask

*You will need:
  • 1 Lemon
  • Honey
  • Olive Oil
  • Pot (or a small glass in which you can mix the ingredients)
  • Teaspoon
1.Put all the ingredients( 2 tsp of lemon juice,3tsp of honey,1tsp of olive oil)  in a pot and mix them with a spoon. Leave it on your skin for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with a lukewarm water and pat dry your skin with a clean towel. Apply your daily moisturizer, I personally prefer the Nivea Visage one which is great if you have skin issues.

**Lemons contain citric acid, which can be very effective in treating acne and acne scars. The Vitamin C found in citrus fruits is essential for that healthy glowing skin that everyone wants, while Alkaline nature kills some types of bacteria known to cause acne.
**Honey is considered to be one of the greatest gifts that nature gave to the human kind.It is not only healthy when consumed, but also very beneficial to your skin. Cleopatra was known for her famous baths in milk and honey which kept her skin feeling silky and smooth. Honey is used in cosmetic industry which helps with different skin conditions.
**Olive Oil helps to renew the skin's surface that may be damaged by many negative influences. Also, people with dry skin can find Olive Oil very helpful as it gives radiance to the skin, making it look fresh and healthy.

2.Aspirin Mask

*You will need:
  • 1 Aspirin
  • Water
  • Teaspoon
  • Pot (in which you can mix the aspirin with the water)
Dilute 1 tablet of Aspirin in 3 tsp of water and let it sit on the problem area for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with a lukewarm water, pat dry with a clean towel and apply your daily moisturizer. This way you can reduce the redness of an acne or a blemish and keep it under control.

Thank you for reading my blog post,I will be posting a lot more about this and similar topics,so if you want to know something I didn't mention now,you can leave me a comment saying your Tips&Tricks for me and other friends ;)
