Review: Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss by Urban Decay

Hello lovelies, I recently ordered the Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss by Urban Decay and I can tell you right away that it's my new favorite, every-day product :)

-Let's see what it claims to be:
"...It’s laced with ingredients that are good for your skin—like Hyaluronic Filling Spheres, vitamin E, avocado oil and shea butter to hydrate and condition your lips. Rosehip seed oil provides an extra hit of vitamins, including vitamin A and vitamin C."

-In a clinical study of Naked Lipgloss (Results given immediately after the use)
•86% of participants had a significant improvement in the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
•76% had a significant improvement in volume and hydration.
•86% said their lips felt nourished.

I've chosen the color "Lovechild" which is very similar to my natural lip color, so when applied it looks natural, yet has that "Your lips but better" effect.
The range itself

The packaging is beautiful and luxurious, rose gold with a "Naked" logo cutout effect. It has a longer, slimmer brush which makes the application of the product itself very easy and fool-proof. It is very easy to get a nice, even application without it being all over the place after the application.

Just like the name suggests, it has a very nourishing, non-sticky formula which glides over your lips and doesn't set into the lines. It fills the lines, making them look invisible, your lips look fuller and more plumped.

It lasts for quite a while, providing a beautiful watery shine on your lips with a hint of color, but still doesn't feel heavy or sticky.
The smell very iridescent, peperminty kind of scent.

The price is around $20, which is quite expensive, but in comparison with the other high-end products, it's not really that much.

Love,
Bella

Makeup Routine: My Foundation Routine (Drugstore Edition)

Hello beauties, for today's blog-post I decided to show you my foundation routine, using only drugstore products, since, In my opinion there are many (like seriously many) good products out there which may be put in corner because of the high end products.
You have to remember that buying a high-end product doesn't necessarily mean that you are buying a quality too, so you should think twice and you may also try to find a dupe for that exact product before splurging your money on that awesome foundation you've recently seen in your favorite high-end product shop ;)

1. Before I start with applying my makeup I always make sure to wash my hands or at least use a hand-sanatizer (My favorites are the one from Bath&Body Works) to prevent any possible source of bacteria coming to my skin and making unwanted blemishes/acne.

2. I start of my foundation routine with a freshly-washed and moisturized skin. As for the moisturizer, I     use the L'Occitane Milky Lotion with Anglica.

3. After the moisturizer has set, I apply a light layer of Garnier ''Perfect Blur'' Primer, right onto my T-zone area so I would be sure that my foundation won't slide around as well as to make my pores less visible.

4. For my foundation, I use the Bourjois ''Healthy Mix Serum'' (in a colour ''52 Vanille''). I really like it since it gives very natural finish, and is suitable for dry and oily skin. It's very lightweight, and it stays on all day without being greasy or oily.
-I apply it with a damp Beauty blender which helps me to achieve that flawless finish with a healthy glow. The Beauty Blender, in combination with a Healthy Mix concealer and foundation is perfect if you have dry patches from acne on your skin since it glides over those problem areas and you can say bye,bye to the ''Bad skin day''.

5. As for my concealer, I loove using Bourjois ''Healthy Mix Concealer'' (in a color ''51 Light Radiance''). It contains fruit extracts, so it gives a beautiful radiance to the skin and it doesn't crease either! It's one of the best concealers I've ever tried.

6. For the blush, I use the Bourjois Blush (in ''Rose de Jaspe'') which is a beautiful, pinky/peachy color. It's formulated without parabens, which provides a great benefit for your skin.
I like to apply it with my Real Techniques Buffer Brush.

7. I usually don't wear a setting powder on top of my makeup as my skin is on a bit drier side now, but I like setting it with Avene Thermal Water facial spray. It helps with soothing and calming the skin as well as refreshing it.

And that's it, those are the only products I use on a daily basis and that I find work amazingly well, stay on and are quick to use when you are in a rush :)

Review: Too Faced Natural Eyes Eyeshadow Palette

Too Faced "Natural Eyes" Eyeshadow Palette

A few weeks back I purchased some interesting beauty-related stuff from Amazon, so I decided I'd do a review and share my own thoughts and opinions on certain products, so I could help you guys decide whether or not those products are worth the hype (and money too!).
Too Faced Natural Eyes - Neutral Eye Shadow Collection

Today I am going to be reviewing an eyeshadow palette by Too Faced which recently came out and for which I was super excited to try out :)

First of, can we just take a moment and appreciate this ''Oh so cute'' packaging, shall we?
It has this beautiful pink, kind of vintage vibe to it, and personally, I prefer this metal case much better than the old one since the palette has a less chance of braking while you're travelling too!
When you open it up, you have a small mirror which is hidden by the ''How-To Glamour Guide'' cards which may help you create certain looks ( They're pretty helpful, especially if you're a beginner in makeup )

The Palette comes with 9 different eyshadow shades which are devided into 3 categories: Day, Classic and Fashion. Since this is a newer version of the Natural Eye palette, it comes with 3 new shades : Nudie,Cashmere Bunny and Chocolate Martini. All shades are incredibly pigmented and long lasting.
The finish varies, so you have 4 matte and 5 shimmery eyeshadow colours.

My favorite ''Every day look'':
-Lid : Heaven
-Crease: Nudie
-Outer Corner: Cashmere Bunny
-Lower Lash line: Sexpresso (which could be used as an eyeliner with an angled brush)

*Final Thoughts:

  • Pigmentation: Beautifully pigmented, a little goes a long way...Not to mention that it looks like you put a foil over your eyelid, in a very good way!
  • Packaging: Gorgeous, simple but effective and classy too :)
  • Longevity: They are definitely going to stay on for the whole day, but I still recommand using an eyelid primer, just to be sure they'll stay in place and won't crease.
  • Price: Let's say that this may be the only down side to this product. It costs about $36, depending on where you buy it. I bought mine from Amazon, and it was even pricier than this :/

*Rating from 1 to 10

  • 10 definitely :)

Hope you guys enjoyed my blog-post, I'll be sure to post it more often now :)

Love you,
Belma
